Computers for those in Need
Local hero’s from Charity Begins at Home -PC has made Winnie Sampi a very happy woman with the gift of a computer.
Winnie was keen to learn how to use the internet and software to expand her photography hobby and needed a computer to help her do it.
Christine Charles, Independent Living Coordinator form IBN’s Elders village, Mirli Maya, contacted Mattew from the local charity to see how they could help.
“Charity Begins at Home is a something started by my son and I to bring unwanted computers back to life,” said Matthew.
“We are taking old e-waste, refurbishing desktop computers and giving them away to those who otherwise would not have one. These are not gaming computers, the aim is for education purposes, learning about the internet and the like.”
If you or someone you know is in need of a computer, or you have an old computer you no longer use contact Matthew and get involved with this deadly local charity.
