The Opportunity:

The Senior Human Resources Coordinator coordinates IBN’s relationship with its workforce including coordinating strategies, policies and processes that support the achievement of IBN’s people management and human resources objectives.

The Role:

  • Creation and implementation of HR systems, processes, and policies
  • Coordination of recruitment, onboarding and termination across both blue collar and white-collar employees in the business
  • Create, review, and amend employment contracts
  • Provide knowledge to the business in relation to industrial and employee relations, workers compensation, performance management, trade awards and agreements
  • Coordination of employee recognition programs and identify new potential benefits to employees within the business
  • Employee record management and overall implementation of streamlined systems to ensure HR department is running efficiently
  • Oversee staff training/apprenticeship programs and assist managers to source appropriate training for their staff in line with development plans
  • Provide health and safety leadership to projects. Support the senior management team to ensure safe working conditions are maintained
  • Work closely with senior management to identify areas of change/improvement

Candidate Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related field
  • 4-5 years previous experience in Human Resource leadership role
  • Sound understanding of Award interpretations, NES, Fair Work Act, and employment law
  • Strong leadership qualities, external awareness, emotional intelligence and maintaining a high degree of trust and confidentiality
  • Exceptional in prioritising own workload, meeting deadlines and the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • A driven and hardworking attitude, training delivery and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Working with Aboriginal people and understanding of Aboriginal Australian Culture
  • Ability to communicate, advise and collaborative with senior management team
  • Project management skills
  • Current WA “C” class licence
