As a part of our strategic direction and continuing our ‘you said/we listened’ approach, your IBN Directors asked for a reputable and independent company, Indigenous Management Group to assess IBN’s performance as your trustee.

We received the final report today.

The report highlighted our performance as follows:

• Corporate Governance: 4 out of 5
• Finance: 4 out of 5
• Social Impact: 4 out of 5
• Cultural Appropriateness: 3.5 out of 5

Indigenous Management Group assessed IBN’s overall performance as 3.95 out of 5 (79%). Appropriately managing your Trust.

The report has made some very healthy recommendations about how IBN can improve and modernise your Trust.

The Board and I will consider these recommendations and how we may address them. We will provide access to the full report, a summary, and IBN’s response to all members via the website, in the next few weeks.
